Moving Into the Engine Co 3 Museum
It’s finally happening—after years of planning, building, and a whole lot of patience, we’ve started moving into the Engine Co 3 Fire Museum. The cabinets are in, the construction work is finished, and for the first time, we can see this space beginning to transform from a dream into a home for our history.
The process isn’t just about moving boxes from one place to another. Each item—whether it’s a helmet, a ladder, or a toy fire truck—has a story behind it. As we unpack, we’re carefully choosing how these stories will be shared. It’s a bit like building a puzzle: every piece matters, and the picture won’t feel complete until everything is in its place.
Unpacking and arranging the collection will take time. We expect this work to continue through the Winter and into Spring 2026. That gives us the chance to do it right—taking the care our artifacts deserve and creating displays that truly honor the tradition and history of the fire service.
Standing in the museum now, surrounded by empty cabinets that are slowly filling with artifacts, it’s hard not to feel proud of how far we’ve come. What was once only an idea is now a building, and soon it will be a space where past, present, and future firefighters—and our community—can connect.
We’ll continue to share updates along the way.
