Engine Co 3

On Monday, August 31, 2026, the Engine Co 3 Historical Fire Museum had the pleasure of welcoming members of the Guilderland Fire Department for our first official fire department tour.

The visit marked another exciting milestone for the museum as we continue our mission of preserving, celebrating, and sharing the rich history of the fire service.

During the tour, department members had the opportunity to explore our growing collection of historical firefighting equipment, memorabilia, photographs, and artifacts. Each exhibit offers a glimpse into the traditions, equipment, and people who helped shape the fire service over the years.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the visit was bringing firefighters together to reflect on the department’s history, share stories, and reconnect with the equipment and traditions that have been passed down through generations.

For Engine Co 3, the museum is about much more than preserving old fire trucks and equipment. It’s about preserving the stories, honoring those who served before us, and helping future generations understand the dedication and sacrifices of firefighters.

Having members of the Guilderland Fire Department visit was particularly special. Their department represents an important part of the local firefighting community, and opportunities like this reinforce why the museum was created in the first place.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Guilderland Fire Department and everyone who took the time to visit, explore the collection, and share in our passion for fire service history.

We look forward to welcoming more fire departments, firefighters, families, and history enthusiasts as the Engine Co 3 Historical Fire Museum continues to grow.

Preserving the Past. Honoring the Fire Service. Inspiring the Future.
